what will you do . . .

Take rolls of toilet paper and you have to make a wedding dress in under 5 minutes. Divided into groups of three with one bride and two bridesmaids. A more environmentally conscious alternative would be to take bed sheets and other fabric scraps and make the wedding gowns this way!

You can also play catch the bouquet where you pinn paper flowers to a dart board. The girls have three chances to hit the flower with a dart, and the closest one wins the game.

Bridal Scrabble

Use about 20 words ( could be less ) that have something to do with "wedding". The words are scrambled and everyone has 10 minutes to unscramble them. The person who unscrambles the most wins the prize. Some examples of words: bride, groom, bridesmaid, maid of honor, limousine, garter, tuxedo, flower girl, rings, shower, honeymoon, church, reception.

Pin the Bridal Bouquet

Each player draws a bouquet on a small piece of paper. The players name is written on the paper, and a piece of double faced tape is attached to the back. A large piece of paper with a bride picture is put on a card table and the player is led blindfolded to the table, where she must try and put the flowers in the brides hand. The winner is the one who gets the closest to the brides hand.

Bridal Shower Bingo

Bridal Shower Bingo makes the gift-opening process as much fun for the guests as it is for the bride-to-be! The cards contain names and descriptions of traditional shower gifts - from naughty nighties to a good set of China. As the bride-to-be opens each gift, guests place an "X" on the spot on the card that corresponds to the gift. The first guest to mark off all the gifts in a row wins a gift herself. With Bridal Shower Bingo, everyone gets to participate, instead of merely sitting on the "sidelines".

Practise makes perfect/ Bouquet Toss

Make an area the garden, maybe use a hoola hoop, (we used a large stuffed toy) to represent the person that Bride wants to catch the bouquet at her wedding. Each person including the bride is to then take a turn at throwing the bouquet to this "person" spot. Whoever gets closest wins. To make it harder have each guest throw the bouquet over their shoulder.

Alternatively you could all your guests pretend they are at the wedding and have the bride as the person they have to throw to and one at a time they have to leave the crowd and be the bride.

Funny Game - "Getting' Jiggy with It "- Suggest two rounds

Aim of game : Girls pair up into two's (possibly three teams at a time)
One girl is blind folded and must follow the other girls instructions.

A tea light candle is lit and placed on the floor.

A lemon is cut in half and a string is tied around one end of the lemon (you will need to cut a hole from one side to the other to get the string through) and the other end is tied around the blind folded girls waist so that the lemon is swinging between her legs (mid way between knee and angle).

The girl who is not blind folded shouts directions to the blind folded lemon girl, the aim is to place the wet end of the lemon over the tea light candle.

The first team to extinguish the teal light candle wins.

Prize : A bag of lemons to each winner.

Enjoy the laughter
