This beautiful ivory dress was made by designer and dressmaker Richard Cook Haute Couture. It was and is stunning!
The bodice is made from Silk Dupion and covered with a beautiful delicate french chantilly lace, with silk covered buttons. It has a drop waist which fits below the hips. The bodice is lined and has pleating/ruffle detail at the top and bottom.
The skirt is A-line style and has a fitted waist band and has large pleating/ruffle at the bottom to complement the bodice and add interest to the skirt. It is fully lined and has netting inside to fill out the ruffle detail.
I am also including my veil which matches and is a double tier veil made from silk tulle.
All of the materials were purchased from Saigon Fabrics in Sydney.
The dress was completed and worn in late February 2008.
The dimensions are:
Bodice: Length: 39cm,
Bust: 73cm,
Waist: 63cm,
Hips: 90cm, Skirt: Waist band: 70cm, Veil: Length: 95cm (at longest point)
The dress would best fit a size 6-8 as that is my normal dress size.
